ABOUT ME

Ellen Welch (she/her) is an Iowa born dancer, actress, and singer. Ellen has been performing since a very young age. She attended the University of Iowa, majoring in Dance, deciding she wanted to perform full time. There, she trained in various styles of dance and choreography, including ballroom, Samba, jazz, modern, musical theatre, ballet, contemporary, tap, lyrical, and partnering. 

 

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Ellen has been performing consistently in the Mid-West. She has performed in many musical theatre works at various theaters. Some of her favorites include Cabaret, Carrie: The Musical, and Hairspray. Ellen teaches dance in the Iowa City area as well as teaches Samba: Brazilian Social Dance at the University of Iowa and in the Iowa City Community.
